Perlane®

What is Perlane®?

Perlane® is one of the newer cosmetic injectable fillers and is proving to be highly effective at facial skin rejuvenation. The treatment is used for reducing the appearance of mild to moderate wrinkles, creases, and nasolabial folds (the area between the nose and mouth. Perlane® can also be used to plump up the lips and add volume to facial depressions – including mild scarring.

Made of hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring substance – Perlane® injections at our Houston, Texas practice typically do not require an allergy test or a waiting period. Perlane® is injected with a very fine needle into the areas targeted for treatment, where it works to bind water molecules to maintain volume, thereby rejuvenating the skin. Perlane® injection procedures usually only take about 30 minutes or less to complete, and there is no downtime after the procedure.

After treatment with Perlane®, you may experience some degree of swelling, redness, and/or bruising surrounding the injection sites; but, this should fade quickly over the next few days.
