How extensive is the procedure?

Cellfina does not involve any skin incisions, and only requires a topical numbing cream prior to treatment, rather than the need for anesthetic. The procedure can be performed in Dr. Sukkar’s inviting, comfortable clinic in Houston, as an outpatient procedure requiring only about an hour of your time.

The surface of the skin will be smoothed with a special suction device, and a tool unique to the Cellfina system will be used to sever the collagen bands that cause the fat to protrude in dimples, lumps, and bumps. In total, the treatment generally takes less than one hour, and is easy to tolerate.

What can I expect during my recovery?

Because Cellfina is a minimally-invasive procedure, you can expect your recovery to last as little as 24 hours. You may experience some discomfort or soreness, but you should be able to perform your daily tasks.

Will I see immediate results?
