At our MedSpa in Houston Sculptra is a dermal filler that helps restore volume and fill out facial fillers throughout the face. In addition to its direct volumizing effects, it also helps stimulate the body’s natural collagen production, producing results that are natural and long lasting.

The Houston Sculptra injectors at The Clinic for Plastic Surgery Med Spa apply years of training and artistry to place the ideal amount of Sculptra fillers for the most natural-looking non-surgical facial enhancement possible. With Sculptra in Houston, you can enjoy a huge boost in confidence with a face that looks younger, well contoured, and free of wrinkles. Your ageless look can last two years or longer with Sculptra facial fillers performed by our world-class team of injection specialists in an upscale setting that leaves you feeling relaxed and beautiful.

Procedure

Sculptra® Aesthetic is a long term non-surgical solution for wrinkles and facial volume loss that occurs with age. As a leading cosmetic injectable formulated with proprietary poly-L-lactic acid, Sculptra not only restores youthful volume, but also stimulates an abundance of fresh collagen to make your skin look and behave more like it did in your youth. Manufactured by Galderma Laboratories, Sculptra is FDA-cleared and proven to work.

Sculptra is renowned for its incredible age-reversing effects, however it is not suitable for certain areas of the face such as the under eyes or lips. If you are considering enhancing those areas, your TCPS Med Spa injector may suggest alternatives such as Restylane or Juvederm. We offer a full profile of top cosmetic injectables all under one roof. Radiesse is also available. With so many options, we make it easy to choose the ideal filler for your needs by listening to your concerns and suggesting the most compatible product, relying on 20 years of training in the art of cosmetic medicine.

Benefits

For people who love the results of hyaluronic acid fillers but want a more long term result, Sculptra may be the ideal solution. Sculptra is one of the longest lasting dermal fillers in the world with results that can last up to two years or more. At TCPS Med Spa, our injectors may suggest Sculptra to:

  • Boost collagen
  • Smooth wrinkles
  • Correct facial atrophy
  • Enhance your favorite facial features

It doesn’t just eliminate wrinkles and create more youthful facial contours; Sculptra is unique in that it increases natural collagen production within your skin over time. Collagen is a protein that helps your skin appear more firm and youthful by acting as a framework to give your skin structure. As collagen production slows down with age, you can use Sculptra to halt or reverse the visible effects of aging.

Ideal Candidate

Because it has a near-zero risk of allergy, Sculptra is an excellent alternative for people who have allergies to other injectable products. Anyone who wants to boost collagen, erase wrinkles, or enhance their facial features may be a candidate for Sculptra. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you will have to wait to have Sculptra. At TCPS Med Spa, we have a full range of anti-aging facial treatments that are available to help you maintain a glowing look throughout your pregnancy, so don’t fret if Sculptra is not right for you!

Procedure Details

Your treatment takes around 30 to 45 minutes. After discussing the goals you hope to achieve with facial fillers, your highly trained Houston Med Spa specialist can perform your Sculptra injection the same day as your consultation. As you sit in the treatment chair in one of our private, well-appointed spa rooms, they will carefully inject Sculptra beneath your skin surface. They will then massage the product into the desired position.

Expectations

Unlike other dermal fillers procedures, Sculptra is injected deeper, that does not mean it will be more painful.

In fact, Sculptra contains lidocaine, a mild anesthetic, helping you to remain comfortable throughout the procedure. For optimal results, Sculptra usually requires up to four treatments over a period of months.

Recovery

Sculptra Houston, TX

While there is no recovery period associated with Sculptra Houston patients do still sometimes experience minor bruising or swelling.

If you experience this, rest assured it is perfectly normal and can be expected to subside within a week after treatment. If needed, you can get over-the-counter pain medication to combat any discomfort.

A unique aspect of Sculptra is that it requires some massaging after treatment. We will provide you comprehensive instructions in our office, but massaging helps to expedite the process if done for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days. More massaging can be done to further the process.

Results

Depending on your goals, you may have up to three Sculptra treatments a month apart for best results. While Sculptra has an instant plumping effect, it takes time to see the full results. Over the next 12 weeks, new healthy collagen will develop in your skin to make you look even younger and fresher.

FAQ

will it hurt?

The process of injection is minimally painful. However, to ensure you feel totally comfortable during your Sculptra procedure, your injector at TCPS Med Spa may apply ice or numbing cream upon request.

how many sculptra treatments will i need?

Most people receive a series of three treatments over three months for best results.

is sculptra permanent?

Clinical trials show Sculptra has an incredibly long-lasting effect compared to traditional fillers. In many cases, the results last up to two years or longer. It all depends on how quickly your body breaks down and absorbs the key ingredient in Sculptra, poly-L-lactic acid. Any new collagen that forms will remain and be subject to the normal aging process. Sculptra may be repeated when the effects start to wear off to maintain your results long-term.

what makes sculptra different from other dermal fillers?

Most fillers today are composed of hyaluronic acid, a material that is naturally found in human skin. What makes Sculptra different is that it is composed of poly-L-lactic acid, a medical-grade thermoplastic polyester. Like hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra restores volume loss in key areas of the face for an age-defying effect. However, it has the added benefit of boosting collagen growth. When collagen flourishes in the skin, it appears plumper and more supple—just like it did in your youth.
