Dr. Sukkar earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and then continued to medical school at the university’s School of Medicine in New Orleans. After earning his medical degree, Dr. Sukkar completed a General Surgery residency at the University of Texas Hermann Hospital in Houston at the Texas Medical Center. He underwent further training during his fellowship at Northwestern University.
